Not everyone gets to celebrate birthdays, Christmas or New Year. Why not share a gift with the less fortunate seniors to enrich their lives? Instead of organising a lavish birthday party, let's share a portion with seniors staying in rental flats or sheltered homes? We can also use this opportunity to teach children about gratitude and generosity by sharing.
You can buy a gift made by our crafters for people staying in rental flats or sheltered homes. You will give the crafters an opportunity to share their love with the less fortunate too. We will help you deliver the gifts to their doorstep.
Start an act of kindness to create a ripple effect.
HOW WE DO IT:
Step 1: Set a budget for each gift pack (eg: $5, $10, $20, $30, $40, $50, $100)
Step 2: Select the number of seniors you would like to share the gift with. Please check out using free shipping.
Step 3: We will help to arrange the gift pack and your message for them.
Step 4: We will send the gifts to their doorsteps and share images with you via whatapps / email
Why not give direct cash donations to the crafters?
At Social Gifting, we focus on social-emotional support by providing differently-abled and senior crafters with work and using crafting as a therapy to empower them by increasing their confidence, improving their fine motor skills and helping them find meaning in life. In 2018, around 70% of people with disabilities are unemployed.
After the crafters have completed crafting, the next step is to ensure their crafts are sold so they can get the passive income and confidence that their craftwork is valuable. And this is the part that we need your help to support them. Through feedback, many supporters like you want to support the crafters but they want to use the gifts to bless the needy instead. Hence, we started this initiative where supporters can buy the crafts and give them to the elderly or children who seldom receive gifts.
Your gift is beyond monetary support to the gift recipients but more importantly the crafters who made the items. You are empowering them with monetary and social-emotional support.
